ARCHIVE / What does LAPP stand for?

LAPP is an acronym for Linux, Apache, PostGreSQL and PHP and is used to refer to the combination of listed open source software systems. Often referred to as the LAPP stack, the use of the term derives from the LAMP stack where the M for MySQL is replaced with a P for PostGreSQL. Like the LAMP stack, LAPP is sometimes used to refer to Linux, Apache, PostGreSQL and Perl (LAPPe) or Linux, Apache, PostGreSQL and Python (LAPPy).
